Elite Entry

Apply for an elite or sub-elite place in the full marathon or half marathon.

The Nepalgunj Marathon welcomes elite and sub-elite applications for the full marathon and half marathon. WHAT ELITE ENTRY INCLUDES Accepted elite athletes receive a complimentary race entry, a front-of-field start position, elite fluid stations on the marathon course, and access to the athlete area at the start and finish. QUALIFYING STANDARDS Applications are assessed on a verifiable performance from the past 24 months on a certified course. The qualifying standards for the current edition are published alongside the race details each year. HOW TO APPLY Complete the elite application form below. You will need your date of birth, nationality, the distance you are applying for, your personal best, your results from the last 24 months with dates, venues, and official times, your coach or club, and your national federation licence number if you hold one. DEADLINES Elite applications close six weeks before race day. Applicants are notified of the outcome within two weeks of the deadline. CONDITIONS Elite athletes must compete under their own name, complete the standard registration and waiver, be available for the pre-race technical meeting and the prize-giving ceremony, and comply with anti-doping requirements including testing if selected. Elite entries are non-transferable.
