Prize money and awards for the upcoming edition are confirmed each year once the sponsorship line-up is finalised. The structure below describes how prizes are awarded; the exact amounts for this edition will be published on this page ahead of race day.
OPEN CATEGORY
Cash prizes are awarded to the top three men and top three women in the full marathon and half marathon. Prizes are awarded on gun time for the podium and are not shared or split.
AGE-GROUP AWARDS
Award categories are published with the race entry details for each edition. Age-group prizes are awarded on chip time, and a participant who wins an open prize is not eligible for an additional age-group prize in the same race.
SHORTER DISTANCES
The 10K and 5K carry trophies, medals, and sponsor awards rather than cash prizes.
COURSE RECORD BONUS
A bonus may be offered for breaking the official course record. Records are only recognised on a certified course and are subject to anti-doping clearance.
CLAIMING YOUR PRIZE
Winners must attend the prize-giving ceremony in person unless excused in advance by the organizers, and must present valid photo identification. Prize money is paid by bank transfer within 30 days of the event, after results are declared final and any doping control results are returned.
TAX & ELIGIBILITY
Prize money is subject to applicable Nepali tax withholding. Disqualified participants forfeit all prizes and awards.
