Nepalgunj Marathon

Race Rules

Last updated 21 August 2026

These rules apply to every distance at the Nepalgunj Marathon. Race officials may disqualify any participant who breaches them. BIB NUMBERS Your bib must be worn on the front of your torso, visible and unfolded, for the entire race. Timing chips must not be transferred, swapped, or removed. START & COURSE Start in the wave and pen assigned to you. Follow the marked route at all times — cutting the course, taking a shortcut, or leaving and rejoining the route results in disqualification. Obey all marshals, police, and traffic instructions. CUT-OFF TIMES Each distance has a published cut-off. Participants who fall behind the sweep vehicle will be asked to stop and will be transported to the finish. Their result is recorded as DNF. OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE Pacing by a non-registered runner, cycling or motorbike escorts, and personal vehicle support are not permitted. Aid must be taken from official aid stations only. CONDUCT Headphones are discouraged for your own safety. Littering outside designated drop zones, abusive behaviour toward officials or volunteers, and any form of unfair means will result in immediate disqualification. APPEALS Result or disqualification appeals must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the results being published. The decision of the race referee is final.
