Nepalgunj Marathon

Anti-Doping Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

The Nepalgunj Marathon supports clean sport and runs under the World Anti-Doping Code as applied by the national anti-doping authority and World Athletics. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU By entering, every participant agrees to be bound by the applicable anti-doping rules and to submit to testing if selected. Use of any substance or method on the WADA Prohibited List is forbidden, in and out of competition. TESTING Testing may be carried out on prize winners, record setters, and randomly selected participants. Selected athletes will be notified by a doping control officer at the finish and chaperoned to the doping control station. Refusing or evading a test is treated as a positive test. MEDICATIONS & SUPPLEMENTS You are responsible for everything you take. Check all prescription and over-the-counter medication against the current Prohibited List, and apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption in advance if you require a prohibited substance for a legitimate medical condition. Dietary supplements carry a real risk of contamination — use them at your own risk. CONSEQUENCES An anti-doping rule violation leads to disqualification, forfeiture of any prize money and awards, removal from the results and records, and referral to the relevant authority for sanctioning. REPORTING Concerns about doping can be reported confidentially to the organizers through our contact page.
